Wire removal is a process of rapid prototyping more commonly called: “3D printing”

Wire removal is a rapid prototyping technology which uses the additive manufacturing method or 3D printing. To do this, a 3D digital file, obtained with the help of CAO (SolidWorks, Catia, Rhinocéros, …) software, is necessary. The prototype is finished on a platform, where a nozzle will deposit a molten thermoplastic filament to make the piece. This filament will harden almost instantly. In this way, an object can be constructed in successive layers of 0.17 to 0.25 mm.
