Wire removal is a rapid prototyping technology which uses the additive manufacturing method or 3D printing. To do this, a 3D digital file, obtained with the help of CAO (SolidWorks, Catia, Rhinocéros, …) software, is necessary. The prototype is finished on a platform, where a nozzle will deposit a molten thermoplastic filament to make the piece. This filament will harden almost instantly. In this way, an object can be constructed in successive layers of 0.17 to 0.25 mm.
ADVANTAGES WITH WIRE REMOVAL
With this technology, your pieces will have good mechanical resistance
Wire removal is adapted for realisation of assemblies of pieces
There is no risk of deformation with this method
DISADVANTAGES WITH WIRE REMOVAL
The surface state of the pieces is irregular
The printing is quite slow
